Recycling automation.
Equipment for breaking down and reclaiming mattress materials at end of life.
The recycling category
What mattress recycling does.
Mattress recycling is the reverse of the line: it breaks a used or reject mattress back down into the steel, foam, fiber, and fabric it was built from, so those materials can be reclaimed instead of landfilled. It is a growing part of the industry as extended producer responsibility rules and take back programs spread, and it turns a disposal cost into a recovered material stream.
The equipment here is heavier and coarser than the sewing line: deconstruction stations and cutters that open a mattress and separate its layers, balers and compactors that densify reclaimed foam and fiber for transport, and material handling gear built to move bulky, awkward units. Throughput is measured in units processed per shift and in the cleanliness of the separated material streams.
Recycling runs as its own cell, often in a separate part of the plant or a dedicated facility, so it does not have to keep production pace but it does have to handle volume and the wear of cutting dirty, worn goods. Choosing recycling equipment means matching it to the mattress constructions you take back, the material streams you can actually sell or reuse, and the throughput your collection volume justifies.

Choosing a machine
How to choose recycling equipment.
The variables that decide which station fits your line. Tell us where you land on each and we will point you to the right machine.
- Deconstruction method
How the station opens a mattress and separates steel, foam, fiber, and fabric.
- Material recovery
The cleanliness of the separated streams, which sets what you can resell or reuse.
- Densification
Baling and compaction to make reclaimed foam and fiber economical to transport.
- Throughput
Units processed per shift, matched to your take back and reject volume.
The full recycling catalog, with every model, specification, and demonstration video, comes online with the live build. Tell us the operation you are automating and we will point you to the exact machine, or engineer a new one.
